FLOW
Start with Yoga and let the rest unfold
« The happiest people spend much time in a state of flow »
~ Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
The flow state can be achieved in many areas of life. It occurs when we are able to be completely present with the task at hand, engaging with it in a focused and enjoyable manner.
Practicing yoga enables us to develop our presence and our ability to quiet the mind by focusing on many different things at once.
We begin by focusing on the breath but when our ability to concentrate develops, we start to notice the other aspects of the practice – mindful movement, subtle body sensations, alignment, energy locks, sequences…
Flow, also known as the 'zone', is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity
Being in a state of flow increases our well-being, creativity, and productivity.
On a smaller scale, being able to achieve even a bit of focus, is essential to achieving our goals.

It’s great to attend to classes, but…
It can be challenging to focus on yourself and enter into meditation while listening and following instructions, especially when you are a beginner
Classes are not always adapted to your needs of the moment. Sometimes you’d like to take it faster or take it slower. Sometimes you’d like to hold or practice certain poses more than others
It’s easier to just roll out your mat and flow wherever and whenever you want, instead of allocating time to go to a class
