How often do you experience FLOW?

« The happiest people spend much time in a state of flow  »

~ Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi

Yoga To Practice Being In The FLOW

The flow state can be achieved in many areas of life. It occurs when we are able to be completely present with the task at hand, engaging with it in a focused and enjoyable manner.

Practicing yoga enables us to develop our presence and our ability to quiet the mind by focusing on many different things at once.

We begin by focusing on the breath but when our ability to concentrate develops, we start to notice the other aspects of the practice – mindful movement, subtle body sensations, alignment, energy locks, sequences…

WHAT’S THE FLOW?

Flow, also known as the 'zone', is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity

WHY IS FLOW IMPORTANT?

Being in a state of flow increases our well-being, creativity, and productivity.

On a smaller scale, being able to achieve even a bit of focus, is essential to achieving our goals.

The sessions begin with a moment of centering, breathing exercises, a sequence of postures and finally a relaxation.

Why Develop Your Own Yoga Practice?

Yoga is a form of active meditation.

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice.

It’s great to attend to classes, but…

  1. It can be challenging to focus on yourself and enter into meditation while listening and following instructions, especially when you are a beginner

  2. Classes are not always adapted to your needs of the moment. Sometimes you’d like to take it faster or take it slower. Sometimes you’d like to hold or practice certain poses more than others

  3. It’s easier to just roll out your mat and flow wherever and whenever you want, instead of allocating time to go to a class

« Nad est une prof très patiente et à l'écoute ! Elle m'a fait aimer le yoga après une première expérience qui s'était mal déroulée. J'ai même eu la chance grâce à ses conseils et son suivi de voir le fruit de mon travail et sentir ma progression. Nad a toujours le sourire et la voir si constante et joyeuse dans sa pratique quotidienne du yoga est viral ! Si je peux donner un simple conseil, n'hésitez pas à passer par Nad en tant que prof, vous ne le regretterez pas »

Katy

« I contacted Nad to get advice on what yoga courses are good for me as a runner. I had the idea that Yoga’s benefits are only for the mind. She immediately proposed a tailor made course incorporating yoga with a running workout plan especially that I am preparing for a marathon in Paris. So the course was focussed on building up focus and concentration much needed in a long run like a marathon where patience is required.

Some of the yoga poses were taught to me and were used to warm up and stretch up before starting my run. They were useful to warn up the hamstrings and were so effective like the foreword fold , the downward dog or lunges. »
